De Urioste-Stone work featured in BDN blog

UMaine News Release April 25, 2017 – The Bangor Daily News blog State & Capitol touched on the topic of mineral mining in Maine, a hotly debated topic since the 2012 passage of a law intended to allow mining in Aroostook County.  A survey conducted by Sandra De Urioste-Stone, an assistant professor of nature-based tourism in the School of Forest Resources, has provided the only detailed survey data available to the public and legislators wrestling with this complicated issue.
