Tim Boester joins RiSE faculty

Mathematics and statistics faculty member Tim Boester has become a member of the RiSE Center. Tim’s research focus is undergraduate mathematics education. He studies theories of advanced mathematical thinking and learning and how those theories suggest students learn particular mathematical concepts, such as limit, derivative, and absolute value. He has also begun studying student-tutor interactions as a part of his role in supporting student learning outside of the classroom in organized learning centers.
