Moving in at UMaine, Fall 2020 (video with transcript)
Welcome to move-in week at the University of Maine.
Are you ready?
Moving into your room on campus is going to be a little different this year. We’re here to show you how it’s all going to work.
When you’re packing, remember that face coverings are required on campus.
And in preparation for coming to campus, check out the Black Bears Care Pact. It details the steps to protect yourself, your community, and the college of our hearts always.
When you get to campus on your designated day and time , head for our COVID-19 testing site. Signs will lead you there. Here, you’ll either receive a test or you’ll provide your documentation of a negative test administered within 72 hours of your arrival.
Got your colored bracelet indicating your testing status? Head to your residence hall.
You’ll move in during your designated hour. Then, depending on your COVID-19 testing status, you may have to quarantine in your room.
We expect test results in 24 to 72 hours. During that quarantine time, the RAs will help ensure you get meals and outdoor activity.
Check out your wellness kit in your room. You’ll have access to WiFi and Cable.
Out of quarantine? Let’s explore your new home away from home.
Welcome to Black Bear Nation.
Questions? The Residence Life team is here to help.
See you soon.
