What do off-campus students need to know about moving back to campus for the 2022 spring semester?

Commuter students are those who reside off campus and attend in-person classes or in-person components of classes (i.e., campus-based laboratory and campus research), out-of-class study and bonafide university activities with a physical presence on campus.

Verified fully vaccinated commuter students are exempt from return-to-campus testing.

Not fully vaccinated commuter students upon arrival to campus for the spring semester must make an appointment in PointnClick for a COVID-19 test at Estabrooke Hall before having in-person campus presence and shelter in place in their off-campus residences until they receive a negative COVID-19 test result.

Not fully vaccinated commuter students may arrive with a negative COVID-19 test dated within 72 hours of arrival and send the testing documentation to um.covidtesting@maine.edu with name and date.

Students who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 90 days should submit an online self-report, noting date of positive test result and type of test.

Note that University of Maine System students can get Shield T3 PCR tests on any UMS campus by scheduling an appointment via PointnClick.

Asymptomatic Shield T3 COVID-19 saliva testing is available weekly for community members required to participate. All UMaine students and employees, regardless of vaccination status, are encouraged to participate in campus-based asymptomatic COVID-19 testing.

Please schedule appointments via PointnClick and bring your MaineCard to your testing appointment.
