I am a student returning to campus. What do I need to know about testing and where to bring documentation of a positive or negative test?
All students living in on-campus university housing must come to the Alfond Arena testing site at their scheduled days and times, including those who have documentation of being diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 90 days or a negative test result with 72 hours of the date of arrival.
To be issued a colored wristband at the Alfond Arena to access the residence halls, students will be tested, or they will provide documentation of a negative test result or a positive diagnosis in the past 90 days.
Out-of-state students living off campus who are enrolled in at least one face-to-face class, regardless of their state of origin, must come to Alfond Arena at their scheduled days and times to either be tested or to submit their documentation of a positive diagnosis within 90 days or a negative test within 72 hours of arrival.
All students tested or providing documentation must shelter in place in their on- and off-campus residences. Those who have tested must shelter in place until test results are reported in 24 to 72 hours. Those who have provided documentation of a negative test result within 72 hours of their testing date and those who have documentation of being diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 90 days will abide by the UMaine shelter in place procedures for 24 to 72 hours.
