(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.domo.com\/learn\/infographic\/data-never-sleeps-11\">Source<\/a>) This stream of content divides the attention of consumers and communicators alike. It\u2019s a challenge to stand out among the torrents of content and notifications. Even if you do, does the attention you generate connect with the right people for the right reasons?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brynmawr.edu\/inside\/people\/samara-sit\">Samara Sit<\/a>, Chief Communications Officer at Bryn Mawr College, will lead a one-hour discussion about how to make strategic decisions about communication platforms and methods. In 2022, she was named Chief Communications Officer at Bryn Mawr College, a selective women&#8217;s liberal arts college that has pioneered the highest standards of education for women since 1885.<\/p>\n<p>In her previous role as associate dean and chief communications officer at the Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (Cornell CALS), Samara led an award-winning communications team responsible for supporting two campuses and 350+ faculty. At George Washington University\u2019s School of Media and Public Affairs, she directed school communications, special events, and administration, and at the PBS NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, she became a producer\/reporter covering current affairs after directing the NewsHour\u2019s multimedia engagement program for high school students and teachers.<\/p>\n<h3>About the Research Communicators Network<\/h3>\n<p>This workshop was developed in response to feedback from the Research Communicators Network, which is open to all members of the UMaine community who work to advance marketing or communications for research in some capacity.
