Vice President for Research

VP of Research Welcome:

At the University of Maine the possibilities are endless.  UMaine plays a pivotal role within our state, as the Land and Sea Grant institution and the Flagship campus of the University of Maine System.   With a research centered mission we are an economic driver for our state and beyond. Our research and graduate studies set us apart with the distinctiveness and leadership that enhance our national competitiveness.

A diverse array of research and scholarly activities can be found within our colleges and Centers. Research and Scholarship are woven into every aspect of the UMaine Experience. You will find world class research conducted by well renowned faculty who are dedicated to the student experience.  We strive to expand the depth and breadth of knowledge and creativity by working with our sister campuses, businesses, and communities.

Serving as the Vice President for Research and Dean of the Graduate School, it is my privilege to work closely with our students as we prepare them to be great leaders, inventors, collaborators and thinkers.
