Information regarding Indecent Exposure on the University of Southern Maine campus in Gorham

The USM Police Department is investigating a report of indecent exposure that occurred on Sunday, 9/16/18, at approximately 2:15pm. A female student was walking in a parking lot on the Gorham campus when she was approached by a black or dark colored SUV. The driver, described as mid-20’s, unshaven, and speaking with a heavy accent, asked the student for directions to a soccer game, then asked her to look at his GPS system. The student looked in from outside the vehicle and this is when she noticed his genitalia was exposed. The student then left to find a friend who escorted her to the USM Police department to make a report.

USM Police checked the campus and off campus locations for the suspect, but he was not located. Anyone with information about this suspect is encouraged to call USM Public Safety at 207-780-5211 in addition to local law enforcement if off-campus.

For more information, see USM Public Safety’s Timely Notice.
