We are excited to offer Sue Watson's 2-day locker-hooking class, which will take place at the Museum on Sat-Sun January 23-24, from 10-4 each day. We are determined to keep this very affordable! Materials and tools for a pillow-sized project will cost about $35; the additional participant registration fee to cover Sue's time and travel will depend on the number who are coming -- reg could be as accessible as $20-35 per person if we get enough folks confirmed. Maine Maple Sugaring Saturday

The afternoon begins with the video, "The Maple Sugaring Story" at the Page Farm and Home Museum. Grade pre-K-5 children can participate in learning activities, play games and hear stories about one of Maine's oldest traditions and seasonal business enterprises. Come visit us in the Folklife Area of the American Folk Festival at the Bangor Waterfront August 27th and 28th, where we will be exploring Maine's rich fiber history from hand spinning wool, flax, and silk fibers in the 1800s, to the industrialization of Maine's textile mills.   Come explore a variety of fiber processing artifacts and learn more about Maine's fiber history!
