The Sexual Assault and Relationship Violence Prevention Committee advises the Vice President for Student Life, the Director of Equal Opportunity, and the Associate Vice President for Human Resources on matters related to sexual assault and relationship violence in the broad university community. This reporting most effectively related to trends, areas of concern, innovative approaches to managing these concerns on a college campus, and a general assessment of issues arising across campus. The Committee will assist in identifying campus needs for sexual assault prevention efforts; setting annual goals for the Coordinator of the Sexual Assault and Violence Prevention Program; and in the design of a campus plan to meet the goals; and reviewing progress, as requested by the Coordinator. The Committee is further charged with the responsibility of conducting an annual review of the campus sexual assault and relationship violence policy.
The SARVP Committee also:
- Reviews and comments on the non-identifiable campus crime information being collected in compliance with the Clery Act
