The campaign committee met recently and we are making progress it implementing ideas about fundraising. \u00a0We will be joining the Bangor Chamber of Commerce in hopes of making contact with Bangor area businesses. \u00a0We will be using a crowd source funding website, we will be updating our Boardwalk fundraising case statement, and we will keep searching for foundations and organizations to apply to for funds.<\/p>\n

The Bangor Art Society held a fund raising auction for us and we received a check for $745 for our campaign.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The Great Bangor Association of Realtors has awarded us a Placemaking grant of $1700 to help with our campaign.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
On October 5th, the Dirigo Delta Zeta Alumnae Chapter held a “Hike for Hearing” fundraising walk at the Boardwalk. \u00a0Funds raised will support the Boardwalk campaign and the Warren Center for Speech and Hearing.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The University of Maine Foundation received over $1500 in donations in memory of Professor Bill Glanz. \u00a0This is enough funds so that a Boardwalk bench and Section 151 are sponsored in Bill’s name.<\/p>\n
