The following nature walks are planned for the remainder of the summer:
Bog Plant Adaptations. Saturday July 8, 9am with UM Professor Emerita Christa Schwintzer
Bog Walk for Kids**. Monday, July 17, 10am with 3rd year UM Ecology and Environmental Studies student and Boardwalk summer intern
International Bog Day, Sunday, July 23, 1pm. Talks and book signings by Boardwalk founder Professor Emeritus Ron Davis and Bangor Daily News reporter Aislinn Sarnacki
Forest Insect Pests, Saturday, July 29, 10am with Allison Kanoti, forest entomologist, Maine Forest Service
Ticks and Mosquiotes. Saturday, August 19, 10am with UM Assistant Professor Allison Gardner, School of Biology and Ecology
Bog Hydrology. Saturday September 9, 10am with UM Professor Andy Reeve, School of Earth and Climate Sciences.
** limit of 8, k-4th grade children. Must be accompanied by a guardian
