The evaluations are open until the last day of classes (Apr 29). Instructors will also receive email instructions on how to monitor their response rates on April 18. If feasible, we recommend setting aside time in class to complete the evaluations, as that has shown to be an effective method for encouraging responses.\u00a0 Students can complete their evaluations on their phones, tablets or laptops.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We are implementing a new process for including courses in the SET process that started in the winter session. Instead of asking departmental administrative personnel to identify courses that should and should not be evaluated every semester, we will be using information already available in MaineStreet to identify courses. All courses will be evaluated with the following exceptions:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Independent Study (Course Component IND)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Thesis credits (Course Component THS)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Travel Abroad (Subject ABD)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Any additional courses with fewer than three students enrolled<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If your department wishes to request an exception to the above rules for any of your courses please fill out the following form: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/yUZ7MrM4iec7WWWh6\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">SET Departmental Inclusion Requests<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For more information on this change please see the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/oira\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/502\/2021\/11\/Online-SET-Policies-11.12.21.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">SET Policies<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/oira\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/502\/2021\/11\/Online-SET-FAQ-11.22.21.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">FAQ<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
