Welcome to New Staff Members
OIRA has welcomed two new staff members over the past six months.
Simona Mitevska is a new Research Analyst. Simona recently earned two Master’s degrees from the University of Maine: An M.S. in Economics and an M.A. in Global Policy. Simona brings to the office a wealth of quantitative and data analysis skills and has already jumped in fulfilling numerous data requests, building dashboards in PowerBI, and automating reports using R.
Nate Flint is a new Evaluation Specialist. Nate came to UMaine from Chicago, where he was the Director of Analytics at National Louis University. Nate is coordinating the UMS-wide assessment of the Student Success and Retention Initiatives for UMS Transforms. So far, Nate has played the lead role in coordinating an assessment process for the Research Learning Experience pilots, as well as implementing the First-Destination Survey across all UMS campuses.
