\nADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS<\/p>\n

will be received until 3:00pm<\/u><\/strong> on Tuesday, July 16, 2019<\/u><\/strong>, at which time the Bids will be opened and read aloud in Room 109 Service Building.\u00a0 Bids received after the stated time will not be considered and will be returned unopened.<\/p>\n

Bids must be accompanied by a satisfactory Bid Bond for 5% of the Bid (checks will not be accepted) which shall be in conformity with the form of Bond contained in Section 00 43 13 of the Specifications.\u00a0 The University reserves the right to waive all formalities and reject any or all bids or to accept any bids.\u00a0 Scholarships, donations or gifts to the University will not be considered in the evaluation of responses.<\/p>\n

The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond to cover the execution of the Contract which shall be in conformity with the form of Bonds contained in Sections 00 61 13.13 and 00 61 13.16, respectively, of the Specifications and shall be for the Contract amount.<\/p>\n

Bidders may attend a non-mandatory<\/u> pre-bid meeting at Hilltop Commons, University of Maine, on Tuesday, July 2, 2019<\/u>, at 9:00am<\/u>.\u00a0 This will be the only time the building will be available for inspection.\u00a0 Copies of plans and specifications will not be available at the pre-bid meeting.\u00a0 Acquiring or reviewing plans and specifications prior to the meeting is advised.<\/p>\n

Project Summary:\u00a0 The Project consists of removal of the existing EPDM membrane and insulation system to roof deck and replacement with a new PVC membrane and insulation system.\u00a0 The project is expected to be awarded by the end of July 2019 with a substantial completion date for the curb below the refrigeration compressor of August 16, 2019 and a total project Substantial Completion date of October 8, 2019.<\/p>\n
