Extension’s blueberry statistics featured in Castine Patriot, Weekly Packet story

The Castine Patriot and The Weekly Packet incorporated blueberry harvesting statistics from the University of Maine Cooperative Extension in an article titled “Hot, dry July diminishes local blueberry yields.” According to UMaine Extension,  some 50 million pounds of blueberries were harvested from about 18,800 acres across the state in 2018.
