Forbes op-ed cites UMaine evolution research

A Forbes op-ed about the evolution of public relations cited a University of Maine study that identified culture as a stronger driver of human evolution than genetics. Scientists Tim Waring and Zach Wood concluded in their investigation that humans are experiencing a “special evolutionary transition” in which the importance of culture, such as learned knowledge, practices and skills, is surpassing the value of genes as the primary driver of human evolution.
