AP interviews Brewer about ‘Right to food’ question

The Associated Press interviewed University of Maine political science professor Mark Brewer about Question 3 on the Nov. 2 election referendum ballot. The question asks voters “Do you favor amending the Constitution of Maine to declare that all individuals have a natural, inherent and unalienable right to grow, raise, harvest, produce and consume the food of their own choosing for their own nourishment, sustenance, bodily health and well-being?” “I’d be more interested in how it could play out in the courts,” Brewer said. ABC News, the Portland Press Herald, News Center Maine, WGME (Channel 13 in Portland), CT Insider and WBNG (Channel 12 in Johnson City, New York) shared the AP story.
