BDN interviews Savoie about turkey leftover planning

The Bangor Daily News interviewed Kathy Savoie, a food safety professor with University of Maine Cooperative Extension, about planning Thanksgiving turkey leftovers for an article about supply issues with the iconic bird. “If you know you are going to have too large of a turkey for the people you are having over, make sure you have a plan of what you will do with the leftovers,” Savoie said. “You only have three or four days from a food safety standpoint to keep them refrigerated and reuse.” Yahoo! News shared the BDN report.
