McCoy, Townsend in fourth annual Women in Bioscience event Sept. 30

The fourth annual “Women in Bioscience” event on Sept. 30 will feature a virtual interactive workshop led by Shannon McCoy, University of Maine associate professor of psychology. 

“Imposter Syndrome: Understanding and Coping with a Potential Barrier to Success” begins at 11:30 a.m. It follows a virtual 10 a.m. panel discussion, Women in Leadership, moderated by Kristy Townsend, UMaine alumna, associate professor of neurobiology at Ohio State University and member of the Graduate School of Biomedical Science and Engineering faculty.

Registration for both is online. The event, sponsored by the Bioscience Association of Maine, celebrates female scientists and entrepreneurs in Maine.
