IANS notes UMaine helping discover oldest ice in Antarctica
The Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) shared an Oregon State University news release noting that University of Maine researchers are participating in a multi-institutional effort led by Oregon State to discover the oldest ice in Antarctica. The project, funded by a five-year, $25 million award from Science and Technology Center, will allow the team of scientists “to learn more about how the earth’s climate has changed over the past several million years,” according to the report.
