News Center talks with Scott, Smith about Extension’s aspiration program

News Center Maine spoke with Ryder Scott, the director of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension’s 4-H centers, and Lyndsey Smith, Aspirations Incubator program coordinator, about the Northstar program. The program, which is based at UMaine Extension’s Bryant Pond facility, seeks to raise the aspirations of rural youth by providing mentorship and opportunities to volunteer, to engage with their communities, to try new activities and to visit college campuses.
