Jekielek, Morse talk to NYTimes for story about scallop farming

Phoebe Jekielek, director of research at Hurricane Island Center for Science and Leadership and a Ph.D. student at the University of Maine, and Dana Morse, a UMaine Cooperative Extension scallop specialist with Maine Sea Grant, spoke with the New York Times about scallop aquaculture in Maine. Jekielek is investigating the impact of scallop farming on wild populations; Morse commented on the increasing global demand for scallops.
