Local media report on passing of UMaine benefactor Robert Buchanan, ’44
The Bangor Daily News and WABI (Channel 5) reported that Robert Buchanan, who graduated from the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in zoology, passed away on Aug. 11 at his home in Pueblo, Colorado at the age of 99. Buchanan, who donated $1 million to the University of Maine Foundation to complete construction of the Buchanan Alumni House in 2002, was a generous donor to UMaine and to many other causes. Yahoo!
