Media highlight Ross’ latest research
The Penobscot Bay Pilot and the Mount Desert Islander reported that Lauren Ross, a University of Maine assistant professor of hydraulics and water resources engineering, is collaborating with the Maine Ocean School to gather data for a 5-year project funded by her National Science Foundation CAREER Award. Ross hopes to characterize the mixing of fresh and salt water at 12 sites in the Penobscot River estuary as part of her overall investigation into mixing in complex estuaries.
