Griffin Dill, manager of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Tick Lab, and Jim Dill, an Extension pest management specialist, spoke with the Bangor Daily News about how to deal with leafhoppers and Colorado potato beetles in gardens. “If you defeat the first generation of emerging (Colorado potato) beetles, you’ve won 90 percent of the battle,” Jim Dill said.
