The Bangor Daily News shared a University of Maine news release announcing the unveiling of a new plaque honoring World War II veterans at 3 p.m. on July 1. The outdoor ceremony, which will be held at the WWII Memorial Garden in front of the Memorial Union, is free and open to the public.
