Local media report on new research learning experience courses

Several local news outlets reported on the new research learning experience (RLE) courses being offered at the University of Maine and University of Maine at Machias starting this fall. These tuition-free, one-credit courses offer a variety of experiential learning opportunities for first-year and second-year students. WVOM’s “George Hale and Ric Tyler Show” featured UMaine and UMaine Machias President Joan Ferrini-Mundy and UMaine senior Jon Donnelly to discuss the RLE courses. Maine Public interviewed University of Maine System Chancellor Dannel Malloy about the initiative.
