BDN cites Kelly, Harkins, ASCC partnership in reporting on start-up hub

The Bangor Daily News spoke with Jason Harkins, associate dean of the Maine Business School at the University of Maine, and Renee Kelly, an assistant vice president for innovation and economic development at UMaine, in reporting on small local businesses and start-up companies that have benefitted from partnerships with the University of Maine. Two such companies located in the former Lemforder building in Brewer are Advanced Infrastructure Technologies (AIT) and Compotech. Both businesses arose from patented technologies developed at the Advanced Structures and Composites Center at the UMaine under the leadership of founding Executive Director Habib Dagher.
