Belding to showcase Center for Additive Metal Manufacturing capabilities, services in informational webinar

John Belding, director of the University of Maine’s Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMC), will highlight opportunities for Maine manufacturers to tap into the services available at the university’s Center for Additive Manufacturing of Metals (CAMM) in an informational webinar scheduled for 10 a.m. June 16.

CAMM is focused on the 3D-printing process that turns digital designs into 3D-metal objects. Belding will share information about the center’s equipment and capabilities and explain how manufacturers can work with CAMM to apply this technology for fast, proof-of-concept prototyping and commercialization of product ideas. He will also share updates for a recent industry project that helped Hermon-based Ntension pivot production in response to COVID-19.
