UMaine Extension offers new food preservation webinar series for summer

University of Maine Cooperative Extension is offering a new series of monthly webinars about preserving Maine foods which began on May 27, and continues at noon June 15. 

The June 15 session of “Preserving the Maine Harvest” will focus on drying, or dehydrating food as a preservation method. Other installments in the series will cover boiling water bath canning, pressure canning, fermenting foods and more. Instructors share recipes and techniques in an interactive format in this series that continues through the fall.
