OneVoice Maine highlights research innovation at UMaine

The spring 2021 edition of OneVoice Maine, the Maine State Chamber of Commerce magazine, focuses on the role innovation has played in Maine’s long-standing traditional industries – farming, fishing, and forestry – in the last century. The magazine’s opening letter cites chamber president Dana Connors and board chair Clif Greim. “Perhaps our state’s biggest incubator for innovation is the research and development efforts at the University of Maine.” Stories about connections to UMaine include “100 Years of Innovation,” “A Century of Maine Resourcefulness in Fishing, Farming & Forestry,” and “A Few Last Thoughts: Q&A with UMaine Faculty.” The issue also includes “Canada & Maine: An Interdependent Relationship of More Than 100 Years,” by Stefano Tijerina. Articles about the wild blueberry and aquaculture industries also cite UMaine research.
