BDN reports on Roman’s research into cause of last glacial maximum

The Bangor Daily News picked up a University of Maine news release announcing the award of a prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship to Zander Roman, a UMaine senior studying Earth and climate sciences. Roman will use the award to pursue a doctorate in paleoclimatology at UMaine and study what triggered the change in climate that caused the Last Glacial Maximum — the largest expansion of ice cover across the planet in the last ice age.
