WVII speaks with Ballman, Gardner about tick precautions, citizen science project

WVII (Channel 7) spoke with Elissa Ballman, a University of Maine citizen science coordinator, and Allie Gardner, a UMaine tick investigator, about the Maine Forest Tick Survey for 2020, and a new effort to recruit forest landowners in southern and coastal Maine for the second year of the citizen science tick surveillance project. The Scarborough Leader also interviewed Ballman about the 2020 survey. Centralmaine.com advanced a UMaine news release about it.  The Associated Press, Centralmaine.com and Village Soup also reported on efforts to recruit survey participants for 2021.
