Calder talks with BDN about guidelines for selling homemade food

Beth Calder, a University of Maine Cooperative Extension associate professor and food science specialist, talked with the Bangor Daily News about regulatory guidelines for the sale of homemade foods directly to consumers. According to Calder, regulations differ based on the product type, but would-be entrepreneurs should not be discouraged by licensing requirements. “If there’s a will, there’s a way,” Calder said.
