Phys.org highlights Roscoe’s Power Theory model

Phys.org shared a University of Maine news release describing a study by Jim Roscoe, professor of anthropology, and Daniel Sandweiss, professor of anthropology and Quaternary and climate studies, that tested Roscoe’s Power Theory. Using a radiocarbon summed probability distribution (SPD) model, the team found that population size and density influenced political centralization in Peru from 10,0001,000 before present. Their findings were published in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B.
