BDN notes death, legacy of Hal Borns
The Bangor Daily News published an article noting the death of Harold “Hal” W. Borns Jr. and recognizing his legacy. A former geology professor at the University of Maine, Borns has a glacier in Antarctica named after him and founded what is now the Climate Change Institute, among other accomplishments. He died on March 17, the BDN reported.
