UMaine Extension hosts tick, mosquito talk Nov. 6 in Falmouth

University of Maine Cooperative Extension will offer a free presentation on ticks and mosquitoes 3:30–5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the UMaine Regional Learning Center in Falmouth.

Emer Smith, field epidemiologist with the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, will discuss tick and mosquito biology, tick identification, common vector-borne diseases and frequency of occurrence, and best methods of protection when outdoors.
