Morning Ag Clips previews beef quality assurance workshop

Morning Ag Clips previewed a University of Maine Cooperative Extension beef quality assurance and low-stress cattle handling workshop to be held 5:30–7:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at Findview Farm in Gorham. UMaine Extension livestock specialist Colt Knight will lead the workshop on topics including differences between grass- and grain-fed beef, key issues with Maine-raised beef cattle and beef quality assurance, and demonstrations of low-stress handling techniques. Participants will have the opportunity to become certified in Beef Quality Assurance, according to the article. The cost is $10 per person; online registration is required.
