BDN, Broadway World report MAIER sponsors sensory-friendly play performance

The Bangor Daily News and Broadway World reported the Maine Autism Institute for Education and Research (MAIER) based at the University of Maine, is sponsoring a sensory-friendly performance of Some Theatre Company’s production of “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Keith Anderson Community House in Orono. The Tony Award-winning play tells the story of Christopher Boone, a boy on the autism spectrum, who uses his unique gifts to solve the mystery of the death of his neighbor’s dog. The Thursday performance, which will use softer lights and sounds, is free. The production also will have performances Feb. 22–24.
