Second annual Maine Sheep Conference Nov. 10

The second annual Maine Sheep Conference and Maine Sheep Breeders Association meeting will be held 9 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Penobscot County office in Bangor.

Conference topics include nutrition management, wintering sheep practices, wool buyers’ preferences, and an update from Anne Lichtenwalner, UMaine Extension Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory director. Additional presenters include Colt Knight, Extension livestock specialist; Cindy Kilgore, Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry livestock specialist; and wool buyers from Bartlettyarns, Inc., in Harmony, Maine.
