UMaine Extension blueberry information praised in Rutland Herald article

The University of Maine Cooperative Extension was mentioned in a Rutland Herald article about wild blueberry picking in Vermont’s Green Mountain National Forest. Mike Burbank, a biologist with the U.S. Forest Service, said other national forests also have wild blueberry fields ready for the public, but UMaine Extension has provided the best management information. Down East, Maine is famous for its commercial blueberry barrens, producing millions of tons of wild blueberries a year, the article states.
