Roiland to give free lecture on role of news media in public life

The role of the news media in public life will be the focus of an April 12 lecture at the University of Maine by Josh Roiland, assistant professor of journalism.

The 7 p.m. lecture, “Keep Calm and Scroll On: Understanding the News Media’s Influence in Turbulent Times,” in 100 D.P.
