The Bangor Daily News reported Richard “Dick” Hill has passed away at the age of 97. Hill was professor emeritus of mechanical engineering and director emeritus of the Department of Industrial Cooperation at the University of Maine, where he taught for 46 years. Funeral plans are pending at Brookings-Smith’s Orono Chapel, according to the article.
