Press Herald Interviews Lichtenwalner about West Nile Virus

In an article about two reported cases of West Nile Virus in Maine, the Portland Press Herald interviewed University of Maine Cooperative Extension veterinarian Anne Lichtenwalner, director of UMaine’s Animal Health Lab, who said UMaine can test dead birds for the virus. Birds are among the common carriers of the disease, which is spread by mosquitoes feeding on them.
