Highmoor Farm Apple, Pumpkin Sale Oct. 14 at UMaine
The annual apple and pumpkin sale held on the Orono campus by staff at Highmoor Farm, the UMaine College of Natural Sciences, Forestry, and Agriculture fruit and vegetable research facility in Monmouth, is scheduled for Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cyrus Pavilion Theatre behind Fogler Library. Details are included on the UMaine Cooperative Extension website. A variety of Maine apples will be available for $1 and $2 a pound, depending upon the variety.
