Extension Specialist Comments on Hogweed
Comments from Lois Stack, a UMaine specialist in ornamental horticulture, were included in a Reuters report about hogweed. Stack warned that when touched, sap from the hogweed reacts with sunlight and causes severe skin irritation, blistering, and permanent scars.
