Fox Bangor interviews Huang on interest Rates

Gabe Huang, assistant professor of finance at the University of Maine,  spoke with Fox Bangor, on the Federal Reserve raising benchmark interest rates. “On one hand, it has inflation concerns. And on the other hand, they need to maintain economic growth,” Huang said. “But usually, if you increase the interest rate, you basically reduce the money supply and reduce the investment. Obviously the economic growth will be hurt. So now they need to do the balance.”
