Maine Harvest for Hunger, a program run by University of Maine Cooperative Extension through which farmers and gardeners donate fruits and vegetables to those in need, was featured in recent stories from News Center Maine and the Sun Journal. “Our goal with that program is to get unused produce or unharvested produce to people who can eat it,” Extension horticulture professional Lynne Holland to News Center told News Center.
