The New England Early Intervention Conference was created to meet the education and networking needs of professionals working with very young children (birth to 5) and their families. This year’s theme is Supporting the Social-Emotional Development of Young Children. Sessions will focus on strategies for increasing skills and knowledge in the areas of early intervention, early childhood education, mental health, recommended practices, and families.

Keynote Speaker: Lise Fox, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Child and Family Studies and the Director of the Florida Center for Inclusive Communities, the University of South Florida Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. Dr. Fox has extensive experience in early intervention and supporting learners with severe disabilities and has conducted research in the areas of naturalistic teaching approaches, positive behavior support, and family support.
Dr. Fox will be presenting the conference keynote address “Nurturing the Social and Emotional Competence of Every Child: Using a Promotion, Prevention, and Intervention Framework.” In addition, she will offer a 90 minute break-out session entitled ” “What Do I Do? Effectively Supporting Children with the Most Challenging Behavior.”
